Navi Mumbai: Residents of Uran township and its vicinity will have to brace for three-day water cut a week with immediate effect due to dipping water levels in the dam. The MIDC which owns the Ransai dam near Uran, has enforced water cuts for three days in a week to stretch the supply till next monsoon. The water level at Ransai dam in Dighode has depleted and with the current stock, the dam will not be able to supply water daily. The dam, which had overflowed in July, supplies water to several gram panchayats. TNN
