NAVI MUMBAI: The crime branch unit-2 team probing the murder case of a 22-year-old labourer, registered at Khandeshwar police station on November 18, has arrested the victim’s wife for conniving with her paramour and two aides to execute the crime.
Deceased Farooq Byapari (22), a resident of New Panvel was found dead with his throat slit, inside Cidco garden in sector-18, New Panvel on November 17.
Ravindra Patil, senior inspector of crime branch unit-2 said, “Farooq’s wife Asmira Khatoon Byapari (22) has been arrested for his murder conspiracy by conniving with her paramour Shafikul Ahmed (22), who is a Bangladeshi national and hails from West Bengal. Shafikul’s two aides-Tariqul Mandal (19) and Kitabul Mandal (27), whom he called from West Bengal to execute the crime, after being told by Asmira, have also been arrested.”
“The murder conspiracy by Asmira came to light after arresting Shafikul, who claimed it was her plan to kill Farooq. All four accused have been remanded to police custody by Panvel court,” Patil added.
