Mumbai city continued to report new COVID-19 cases above the 1000 mark on Friday. With 1,173 new cases and three deaths, the case-load currently stands at 3,31,016 total cases recorded till date and 11,490 fatalities. The active cases have also increased to 10,469. The average doubling rate has come down to 241 days. There are 15 containment zones in slums and chawls, while 188 buildings have been sealed because of the presence of active patients. Also, police recovered the body of a Thane-based businessman whose stolen SUV was found parked near Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia.
