ULHASNAGAR: The Central police in Ulhasnagar have arrested two youths having criminal background for stabbing to death a man to rob his mobile phone of Rs 3,000. The arrested accused have been identified as Gautam Jha, 22 and Ajay Shirsath, 19. Both are residents of Ulhasnagar 2.
Police said both the accused recently on April 9 at Shastri Nagar area stabbed deceased Munnilal Jaiswar (50) making him seriously injured to rob his mobile phone. The injured Jaiswar later died during the treatment next day in hospital.
Since there was no clue or witnesses who knew the accused, taking serious note of issue, deputy commissioner of police, Dr Sudhakar Pathare formed two separate teams under supervision of Central police station’s senior inspector Madhukar Kad. The collected different CCTV footages from area and finally traced motorcycle used in crime. The the number of motorcycle, the finally reached to both the culprits on Tuesday.
Kad told TOI, “The probe revealed that Jha who has two past criminal cases and Shirsath having one case, to rob mobile phone injured the victim who later died during treatment”.
