THANE: A police inspector attached to the Mumbra police station in Thane district died in a road Mishap in Rokadpada village near Nashik on Sunday.
The deceased cop has been identified as Pandurang Khandvi.
Senior police inspector Madhukar Kad said Khandvi had gone to Vani area to attend the engagement ceremony of his relative in a private car. As the car was enroute to Nashik, it rammed into another vehicle from the rear.
Kad said that Khandvi died in the accident while three of his family members suffered serious injuries.
