NAGPUR: Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole on Wednesday said that his party’s legal cell is looking into the video tweeted by BJP’s Chitra Wagh.
Wagh tweeted a video which purportedly showed Patole with a woman.
“Our legal cell is looking into the links and from where it has come. Such politics, where personal attacks are made, has never been seen in Maharashtra. I would not like to comment any further on this,” Patole said.
Patole added that in the past too, he had been targetted for political reasons. “They burned my effigies following an incident which happened in Bhandara,” said Patole.
The Congress state chief was referring to a viral video clip in which he was heard talking about a man named “Modi”.
BJP claimed that it was PM Narendra Modi, while Patole said it was a local goon. Later a man came forward and said he is referred to as Modi in his village.
“After that the opposition had nothing more to say,” said Patole. “Here also we will get all the information through our legal cell and proceed,” said Patole.
