Dombivli: The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal corporation (KDMC) has begun the demolition work of a 46-year-old building in the city, which has been marked as ‘very dangerous’ by the civic body.
The civic body stated that the demolition of the ground-plus-four Jayesh Nivas building located near Ganesh temple road in 6/F ward was started after residents were evacuated a day before.
The building has been classified in the category of most dangerous buildings in the civic body limits. It was also issued a notice in 2018.

Since the building is adjacent to the road, it is being demolished with the help of compressor machines, the civic body stated.
The demolition action will continue for the next three to four days, it said.
