THANE: The twin cities of Kalyan and Dombivli in Maharashtra’s Thane district saw more recoveries than new Covid-19 cases on Friday.
In the past 24 hours, the cities reported 55 fresh cases of coronavirus, according to the latest data by Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC).
Most of the cases came up in Kalyan west (26), followed by nine in Dombivli west, eight in Dombivli east, and four in Kalyan east.
Six persons tested positive in Manda-Titwala region, while two contracted the virus in the Mohane region.
Also, one more death were reported in the KDMC limits.
On the other hand, 56 persons recovered from the infection on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,38,978.
At present, 636 patients are undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Kalyan and Dombivli combined.
