MUMBAI: The city police have sent a letter to residents of the Altamount Road neighbourhood to ensure that their vehicles are parked within their housing society premises or within any other space owned by them.
The letter says that since industrialist Mukesh Ambani, who has Z+ protection, lives in the area, his safety is of great concern.
The local police and traffic cops have appealed to residents to remove their illegally parked vehicles, else it would invite action.
However, when contacted by TOI, officers said the action was directed at taxis and vehicles of ‘outsiders’.
An explosive-laden vehicle was parked near Antilia, the residence of the Ambani family, in February this year.
